while TB is one of my old heroes - Zappa, UK, Missing Persons, Jeff Beck, Black Light Syndrome, Vai, P Moraz, M Isham, etc - THAT is flipping "Over The Top!" [U.S.S. Bozzio]...beyond the pale; extreme. Better he than I.

We talked of this in here a good while back. Cartage?! Fuhgitabowdit...that would be SOME kit price-tag AW...plus the alarm-system against thieves [includes land-mines, wall, electric fence, IBMs, laser-interceptors...you get the pic].

DeeP_FRieD - I agree with ya. Welcome to [deep in-] the age of shamless, over the top, aggresive, borderline arrogant[?] self-promotion.

Side-note: Getting away from TBoz - I worked for a guy who practiced this as a life-art form for darn near a decade [that is, OTT self promo]. He was an image-churning factory; a traveling medicine-man-minstrel; a politically correct, used-car-salesman [NTM a regular, full-of-cr**ola pretensious bastid, to say the least]. Yeah, I know..."let it go, man!"...issues...but I learned a lot from him, both pro & [mostly] con. I mention [vent] it once-to-three times a year in here; it helps me not to have to go and shoot the guy, even though I'd be doing his soon-to-be-ex a favor. [img]wink.gif[/img] J/K ...Can ya care to wager a guess as to why she's an up-&-coming "soon to be-?" ... ["reap-sow, kharma, get what's coming, come back to bite ya, do unto others, just rewards, come-uppance" - whatever you want to call it]...

This was in no way a comparison or reflection on the Boz man, it was a reflection per DF's comments. At least TB is an drumset "artist," & not simply a BS "artist." [img]wink.gif[/img]

TB's a renowned AWA GREAT drummer, but he just isn't quite at those 3 cats' level, sorry [JMHO]. And, altho I'm sure he didn't write that about himself [as it would appear somone else wrote it about him, for his site], that promo left it open for this comparison.

A little "late night" humor is a good thing. The point of the thread is Dom included as a "Monster Drummer."

That's just funny Late Night stand-up humor. If it was true that taking a shot at someone was going to keep them from "joining in," then Leno or Letterman would never have any A-list guests.

I personally know a "big name" drummer that lurks as an unknown in drum forums and goes for a good laugh, not for drumming information.

Third paragraph, isn't what he doing just like multiple perc. pieces but more prolific. Anyways who else has the endorsements to fund this kind of thing? Oh yeah, I never knew Terry knew how to lathe and hammer metal into a cymbal.

It's so disheartening to read stuff like this on someones own web page.
